We’re on day four in this Spectacular Taylor Dean Giveaway. I’ve told you about three of her books so far, and a bit about Taylor.

As I explained already, I want you to get to know Taylor and her books, so you can discover how amazing she is at telling her stories. Seriously, I can’t stress enough how much you all need to read her books. This week as I will post about Taylor’s books, you will get the chance to enter the $50 Amazon Gift Card or Paypal Cash Giveaway that Taylor is holding to celebrate the release of her new book Stone Silence. And because I want you to check out her other books, I will be gifting one of her books to a lucky winner.

To be entered into the draw to win the $50.00 gift card you just follow the rules of the rafflecopter at the end of this post.

To win a book, you need to like both Taylor Dean’s Facebook page  and My Facebook page . Then you need to share one of the posts during the week and comment on which book you would like to read based on my reviews. You can share and comment on more than one post, I will pick the most original, intriguing comment. It’s as simple as that!

Today I want to share one of Taylor’s books that I have read twice, and the last time I read it, I was going through a really rough patch in life.

At the time I remember feeling alone, and hurt over something terrible that had happened to me. I turned to this book, and all through reading it, I kept repeating like a mantra through my head, that I have people, like Holly in this story. My husband isn’t much like Gabriel, but he has been my rock through, the good, the bad, and especially the painful and ugly moments in my life. This book brought sunshine and distraction in a rough couple of months, and I realized that I truly have people in my life. I am so grateful for it.

Book

I have people

Holly Sinclair is happily married to the love of her life, Gabriel. Young and in love, Holly hopes to have their first child soon. Of course, Gabriel wants to wait till Holly’s health is restored, much to Holly’s dismay. She feels perfectly fine. So what if she just woke up from an eight-month coma? So what if some of her memories are missing? She remembers Gabe and that’s all that matters, right?

That is, until HE enters her life again . . . she forgot about HIM.

Review

I have people deals with the very difficult subject of spousal abuse.

Holly wakes up after an 8 month coma, and how only one memory, her husband Gabriel. She wants to have his child, but he wants her to heal up from her traumatic experience, and regain her memory.

The whole book is like an onion, full of layers, being peeled back and revealing more and more of the story.

Taylor tackles the raw truth of the matter in a delicate but realistic way. Holly has to face the demons she is living, and grows immensely in the process. She makes the RIGHT decision.

This whole book makes you stop, and consider how someone would ever deal with this kind of issue without ‘their people’.  Holly is lucky to have found her people. Gabriel is a sweet, kind and loving guy, and Angela is the best kind of friend a girl could ever want.

This book made me laugh, cry, hurt, and sigh. It was a real Taylor Dean classic, and I enjoyed reading this book several times. Just writing about it, makes me want to go back and reread it again.

  1. Now I want to reread it too. Such a wonderful review. Thank you, Mylissa. I choose the title because I was facing an empty nest for the first time and I needed that reminder that I still have people, even if they are far away. I am so glad it helped you. That’s the best thing an author can hear. So rewarding. Thank you . This is amazing, Thanks for featuring my books. It is a valuable reminder to me that my books can affect people for the better. I never realized just how much.

  2. This sounds like such an emotional book, but one that would be so interesting to read as well. I love when books reveal pieces just a little at a time, making you not want to stop reading. It sounds like an amazing book.
