I haven’t been feeling myself lately. Work has been exceptionally busy, the kids have got so much on at school, keeping me very busy with their homework and exams and such, and I seem to have forgotten to take a little time to stop and smell the roses!
Also today is the day my father passed away 18 years ago. Although he wasn’t always the greatest dad, I still feel a loss, and for a long time missed a strong male figure in my life.
When I first laid eyes on my husband, I was a goner 🙂 He is dreamy handsome, and has this presence to him that makes you stop and take notice. As I got to know him, and truly fell in love, we become each other’s greatest fan and best friend.
Over the years he has become that voice in my mind that tells me I can do it, even though everyone else tells me I can’t. Well mostly, I doubt he would encourage me to climb mount Everest, or run a marathon, but he seems to always support me, cheer me on, and pick me up whenever I am down.
Now why am I telling you all of this you must be thinking. Well, I have come to understand that a strong man in my life means the world to me! I can’t imagine who I would be, where I would be, what I would be without the love of this man, and him in my life.
So whilst thinking of all of this, and as I am celebrating my birthday next week, I decided to have a little fun with all of you. I love to read a great romance with a strong, male lead. I like the lead to be a guy who could hold my attention. Because let’s face it, it’s great to have a guy around, someone to give some dimension to life, someone to hold you at night, someone to complete you and it sure helps if he is easy on the eyes 😉 .
So I want to hear from all of you, who your favourite book boyfriend is, and why. I’m going to do a little prize to go along with this. Whomever can give me a the best story of their favourite , and the reason why they picked that character, will win a $5.00 Amazon gift card, or a copy of a book with one of my favourite book boyfriends. To enter into the drawing, you must like and share the post on facebook, and then comment on the post so I know you have shared! Also only clean books can enter the competition!
I’ll post my list below, and you can have a look. This competition will go on for 1 week, and I will announce the winner next Friday.
I can’t wait to hear from all of you!
My top 5 Book boyfriends, and this is not in any specific order, because I wouldn’t know how to choose a number 1 🙂
1. Zachary Drake from For Nick by Taylor Dean
2. Chase from A Faerie’s Revenge by Rachel Morgan
3. Braydon Decker from Breaking Braydon by MK Harkins
4. Eli Walsh from Date Shark 1 by DelSheree Gladden
5. Brady Jackson from House Divided by Jennifer Peel
Now I have many more, but these are a selection of five I made, and you can find their stories on my blog 🙂
I LOVE that you chose Zach as one of your favorites! While I love Zach, my fave is Alex from Sierra. I’m still in love with him!!
I would have to say that most of your guys are on my list. I hesitated to put Julian on there, but as I could not gift that book yet, and I also can’t share my insane love for that book yet with anyone, I decided against it. Needless to say, when the time is right I will have a whole lot to say about him and the book! 🙂
Howdy! This article could not be written much better! Going through this post reminds
me of my previous roommate! He always kept talking about
this. I most certainly will forward this post
to him. Pretty sure he will have a great read. Many
thanks for sharing!
