The Wondrous, Spectacular Magnificance known as Jennifer Peel

I am immensly fortunate to have been contacted by Jennifer a while back to do a read and review of Trouble in Loveland (which hopefully you all read on the blog 🙂 ). I loooooooooovvvvvvvveeeeeeeddddd that book!!!!! It was amazing. Now Jennifer is a STAR, so she gave me a copy of all of her books to read (YAY, does fist pump, and happy dance 🙂 🙂 🙂 ).

Can you imagine my happiness this past holiday (if it was not yet obvious)? There I was in the South of France basking in the hot sun, completely oblivious to the world around me (much to the dismay of my hubby), immersed in Jennifer’s books. I read a book a day, and they were the best reading days on that vacation!!

Take it from me, this lady is a MASTER with words. I found myself roaring with laughter, crying hot tears of anger and heartwreching sandness, aching in pain thinking how is this ever going to end in a HEA,  and then being pieced all together again feeling whole, complete and on a buzz after an utterly satisfying read. It was better than any chocolate I have ever eaten. As I am an insane eat-straight-out-of the-pot Nutella (or any good quality chocolate I can get my hands on really) chocoholic that is saying a lot!!

Jennifer also let me beta-read her newest novel, and boy are you all in for a ride on that one!!! She nailed it!  It is spectacular!

The Giveaway

Now all of this amazingness had me come up with this great idea to share the greatness of Jennifer with you all! I want you all to get the chance to get to know Jennifer and her books (It needs to be shouted from every rooftop really), so you too can come to realise as I have, that this woman is a litterary Goddess and you need (I cannot emphasize this enough) to read her books!

This week as you get to know Jennifer and her books, you get the chance to win 2 great prizes.

Jennifer has decided to gift a $25.00 Amazon gift card to the lucky winner of the Facebook draw, and I will be gifting one of her books to a lucky winner.

To be entered into the draw to win the $25.00 gift card you need to like both Jennifer’s Facebook page and My Facebook page and share one of the posts during the week. Each share (after liking both pages 🙂 ) equals an entry. Its’s as simple as that! At the end of the week Jennifer will post a video of her drawing the lucky person. So be sure to stay posted throughout the week to get as many entries as possible.

To win one of Jennifer’s books, all you have to do is, again like both pages, share the post, and comment on which book you would like to read based on my reviews. You can share and comment on more than one post, both Jennifer and I will pick the most original, intriguing comment. Again, as simple as that!

Meet Jennifer

To get this fun week started, I’m going to introduce you to Jennifer.

Jennifer Peel

Who is Jennifer Peel?

I’m a fifth generation Colorado native who currently calls Alabama home. I’m the mother of three amazing children who have grown up way too fast. I enjoy the mountains, vacations at the beach, date night with my husband, late night talks with my kiddos, touring model homes, and pink bubblegum ice cream.

No Really, Tell me more…

I grew up on the Western Slope in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. I learned to love the beauty of the outdoors, but not camping–unless staying overnight at the Marriott counts. I met my husband while living in Denver and then several years later we traded the beauty and majesty of the Colorado Rocky Mountains for the art and culture of Chicago, Illinois. My family and I enjoyed living near this world class city, despite the crazy cold winters, but new adventures awaited in Northern Alabama–just six hours away from Orange Beach, Alabama. These three magical places (the Colorado Rocky Mountains, Chicago, and Orange Beach) are the inspired locations used in several of my books.

Now this is all the general stuff you would find about Jennifer, but I want some more bookish stuff. Here is a quick Q&A, Enjoy!

  1. Where do you get the idea’s from your books?

Sometimes I’ll read an article and something will stir an idea. I’ve even had dreams of certain scenes and just knew I had to write those characters.

  1. What inspires you to write such very strong female leads?

My husband says because I’m a strong female lead. I’m not sure if that is true, but I’m inspired by women that despite hardships and setbacks continue to try and they do it with grace and determination.

  1. Which book did you find the most challenging to write, and why?

Without a doubt The Girl in Seat 24B. I wanted Carly so badly to be happy and to have what she deserved all through the book. It was painful for me to keep her from that. She is my hero.I stopped writing it about 200 pages in. I knew how I had wanted it to end and planned for it to end, but once I got there, I began to doubt. I hated Michael so much.

  1. Which character do you feel the most connected to/ is most like you, and why?

Probably Jessie, who is the heroine in my novel that will come out in September. I think like her I have had moments where I have lost faith. Where despite heartache I’ve found the strength to continue. That strength has come from my friends and those that have loved me, just like Jessie.

  1. Have you ever thought of writing a continuation on one of your books, and if so, which one?

Several of them, but I will probably write a continuation of Trouble in Loveland. I felt so terrible for Jay and I feel like he deserves his happy ending too. And I have so many great ideas for Charlee’s wedding.

So that’s it for day 1 in The Amazing Jennifer Peel Book Giveaway. I hope you enjoyed getting to know Jennifer. Be sure to connect with her through her Facebook page, spread the word, and enter to win the prizes!!! 🙂

Happy reading!
